Can I drive a motorhome with a car licence?

Yes. Many Avida motorhomes are under the 4.5-tonne Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) limit, which means they can be driven with a standard car licence. However, motorhomes that exceed the GVM limit will require a light rigid (LR) or medium rigid (MR) licence.

How do I apply for a heavy vehicle licence if needed?

The process to obtain a heavy vehicle licence such as a light rigid or medium rigid licence varies from state to state. For instance, in NSW, the primary method to obtain a Heavy Vehicle Licence is through the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) with an Accredited Training Provider. You can choose your trainer and the vehicle for your assessment. Check individual state regulations for further information.

What is the smallest motorhome available?

Avida motorhomes range from 6.8 meters to 9.8 meters in length, designed to accommodate various needs and preferences. The smallest motorhome in our range is the Avida Leura.

What is the difference between a B-type and a C-type motorhome?

B-type motorhomes typically feature storage areas over the cab chassis, known as the luton peak, which are generally smaller. C-type motorhomes have a bed over the cab chassis in the luton peak area, which is generally larger.
