Receiving an annual Avida award is a high achievement for our Dealer network. Avida Dealers work hard to deliver a unique and valuable customer experience like no other, as Avida strives to work towards being a world class company.
Avida’s mission is to be an Australian company of world class standard manufacturing quality Recreational Vehicles that provide our customers with value for money, to develop the skills of our employees and to reward our Dealers for their investment in the industry.

We are excited to announce the following Dealers that have received our Avida 2021 Awards this year.
The Customer Satisfaction – Dealer of the Year Award
This is awarded to a dealer who provides great service to Avida customers and most importantly achieved a high Customer Service Satisfaction score above 90%. These results are driven from the initial customer satisfaction survey carried out and voted by Avida Customers, during the 2020/21 financial year.
The Winner is – The team at Avida Coffs Harbour l Watson Caravan Company
Jeremy Watson CEO and Founder of Avida Coffs Harbour l Watson Caravan Company was ecstatic when he received his award and remarked, ‘that it was his team that had received this award and would like to make special mention of fellow team member, Mark Rooney for his knowledge, patience and experience that is greatly appreciated by our many customers’.

Dealer Staff Member of the Year 2021 – Dealer of the Year Award
This staff member started with the dealership over 8 years ago, his role includes checking off the vehicles for quality as they arrive, providing pre-delivery and handovers of the Avida’s on both new and pre-loved. Not only does this staff member assist customers with their technical questions but also offers a wealth of knowledge on the customers query too. Always putting the dealer first with their attitude towards customers and the business. Customers always remind management at the dealership what an asset this staff member is to the dealership and to the Avida brand.
The Winner is – Tom Burns at Avida Newcastle | Australian Motor Homes and Caravans
Tom Burns of Avida Newcastle l Australian Motor Homes and Caravans said, ‘I am pleased and honoured to accept this award, I enjoy training the customers on their Avida purchase and the feedback and award was a surprise for a job I love doing. I love the excitement of a customer picking up their Avida and fulfilling a long dream they have had.’
Record Avida Sales 2021 – Dealer of the Year Award
This is awarded to a dealer that has achieved record sales in any one financial year. In extreme trying times including a forced lock down for several months, this Dealership was able to achieve the highest ever sales on record by a single dealer in a financial year.
The Winner is – The team at Avida Newcastle | Australian Motor Homes and Caravans
Chris Pippen, General Manager of Avida Newcastle l Australian Motor Homes and Caravans said, ‘It is an honour to receive these awards, and have a member of our team so positively rated by our customers, it makes us very proud to be involved in getting people to “Live the Dream”. It was a very unusual year with COVID disruptions and learning to change the way we operate on the spur of the moment many times. I believe it is a great win for Australia as the number of people now getting into a caravan or motorhome is bigger than any year we have seen before, with a lot of customers now travelling in RVs instead of travelling overseas. I truly believe this is great for many businesses in Australia that have suffered over the last two years and that there is a very bright future ahead for our industry.
I would like to thank all our staff, of over forty for their hard work during these challenging times’.
Despite the challenges of 2021, Avida has managed to launch a few unique products to the market to enhance the overall Avida Customer Experience.
The Avida Experience Hub, is for Avida owners to have access to a whole new world of online information exclusive to them once they are logged into the Avida Experience Hub. These include the Journey, Owners RV, book a service, owner’s manuals, how to videos, locate a service agent, experiences, hints and tips, FAQ’s, RV insurance and the Avida Facebook group. The Avida Experience Academy, is an online training platform specific to Avida dealers. This will allow all Avida Dealers and Avida Staff to have up to date knowledge on Avida products, services and history. It will rate and score staff’s knowledge via testing to ensure that they are able to give Avida Customers relevant knowledge and overall provide a better customer experience.

As many of us are excited to say goodbye to this year and hope for new beginnings in 2022, Avida would like to congratulate all our award recipients for 2021.
