The Avida RV Dealership of the Year for 2013 is Australian Motorhomes/Avida Newcastle

Every year, Avida RV acknowledges outstanding achievement within its franchised dealer network. The Avida dealer network is regarded as the most professional and knowledgeable in the Australasian RV industry and all Avida dealers seek the honour and prestige of the coveted Dealer of the Year awards.

At a glittering function, held this year at the luxurious Fairmont Resort at Leura in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, both Dealer and Avida management and staff from around Australia and New Zealand gathered for dinner, entertainment and the award announcements.

Ben Binns, CEO of Avida RV in announcing the award for Dealer of the Year commented that in deciding the Dealer of the Year, every aspect of the dealers business is examined and rated with special emphasis placed on aftersales and customer relations. “Avida Newcastle rated very highly in a survey of their customers who obviously think that they do a fantastic job in looking after their customers after the sale” said Mr Binns.

Ron and Tina Warden, in accepting the award for the second year in a row on behalf of Avida Newcastle, acknowledged the fantastic efforts of their staff commenting that without them, the business would not be the long term success that it is today.

Avida Newcastle was established in 1986. The Dealership is located on the Pacific Highway at Bennett’s Green, about 14 kilometres south of Newcastle and a 2 hour scenic drive north of Sydney and has grown over the years to now occupy a massive 5 acre site offering a huge undercover showroom for new Avida Motorhomes and Caravans, a large range of parts and accessories on display, a very well equipped service centre capable of looking after the largest of motorhomes and their customers often take advantage of the two dump points, customer lounge area and Ron Wardens famous cappuccino.

A number of other important awards were presented on the night to deserving dealers and staff adjudged best in each category. Once again, every aspect of the dealership is judged on pre-set criteria and excellence in performance in each sphere of the daily operation is examined.

In what has been a difficult year given the uncertain economic climate around Australia and it was only seven months ago that Winnebago Industries rebranded the company as Avida, the Avida brand has performed admirably, increasing market share nationally, and the positive feedback from customers has been very encouraging.

“2014 is shaping up as a very positive year for Avida and the RV Industry” said Mr Binns. “Economic indicators such as housing, interest rates, the stock market and the value of the Australian dollar all point to a boost in consumer and business confidence in the coming year” he said.
