‘Avida Motorhomes’ WRV motorhome club recently reached a new milestone when member number 6000 joined the club. More known for its full name, the Winnebago RV Club, it is now the second largest motorhome club in Australia.
Greg and Chris Gunn recently purchased their brand new Avida Esperance Premium from Avida Melbourne. Based in Gippsland, Greg and Chris manage their own interstate transport business called Gunn Transport Company. With 5 children of their own and 7 grandchildren (with one more on the way!), life is full of excitement for this hard working couple so the thought of taking a break in their new motorhome is a refreshing reprieve from their otherwise busy lifestyle.
“We really liked the idea of being able to travel and see Australia and being in the truck business, we are used to bigger vehicles so this really was the perfect opportunity for us” Chris said. “It will be nice to travel for leisure rather than business for a change”.
The WRV Club was established by Avida in 2004 to enhance the lifestyle and experiences of motorhome owners and also to gain a better understanding of the wants and needs of the members in relation to motorhomes and many suggestions from the members have been incorporated by Avida in succeeding model releases.
There are a number of reasons why people join the WRVC and probably the most anticipated is being able to participate in the clubs many events, safaris and gatherings where like-minded people travel in their motorhomes together to predetermined destinations such as along the Birdsville track, enjoying the companionship of the journey as well has the many organised themed dinners, happy hours and entertainment along the way.
