We knew exactly what we wanted although were not sure whether to go for caravan or another motorhome, having lived in a motorhome previously. This caravan ticked all our boxes…and some! There is heaps of room once the slide out is extended. It is well designed and finished, and has everything we want in a caravan. Birdsville – love the layout

We are very happy with our new Birdsville, even with the wait due to Covid-19. We love the layout and I am amazed with the storage and have found I have all I need with space left to fill. It is brilliant to drive and we find reversing very easy. Our little dog has taken ownership and feels completely comfortable in it.

Leura – drives extremely well

We are very happy so far with our purchase. It drives extremely well, corners beautifully and is fast. Inside is beautiful, the bed is comfy after adding a pillowtop, and the hot water is great for showers and washing up.

Leura – could not get the wife out of the driver’s seat

We have just taken delivery and are very happy with the Leura, as it has everything we need for two people. It’s comfortable, roomy and well laid out, perhaps needs a little more storage space for chairs and outdoor table etc but we will fix that with a storage box on the back. It has a very comfortable bed and is great to drive. My wife drove it as well as me on our first trip and I could not get her out of the driver’s seat – she thought it was terrific!

Birdsville – So comfortable

Very beautiful to drive, holds well with driving up mountains, hills and valleys. I drove home for 1030 kilometres without a  problem. The driver seat was so comfortable with the steering wheel being lovely to hold with all the controls at your fingertips. The slide out gives a lot of room for 2 people and the layout with all the cupboards is great. The mattress is so comfortable with the memory foam. I love the colours and the style, I was sold straight away.

Leura – Comfortable and most enjoyable

The Leura is so spacious. Considering the size, there is ample room in the shower, toilet and living space. We had 6 people visit and all sitting inside.  It was tight but still very comfortable and most enjoyable. The motorhome is a very easy vehicle to drive.

Rock – All the creature comforts

The Avida Rock Caravan has all of the requirements for a truly all terrain van. Good size to weight, all the creature comforts, well built, complete with cooking, bathroom, sleeping and entertainment requirements.

Leura – Nice progression from previous motorhome

Was a nice progression from our previous Winnebago motorhome. We love the roomy layout of the Leura.

Ceduna – Iveco drives well

Happy with the floor plan and the Iveco chassis of our new Ceduna. Drives really well and has good hill climbing power.

Rock – All the creature comforts

The Avida Rock Caravan has all of the requirements for a truly all terrain van. Good size to weight, all the creature comforts, well built, complete with cooking, bathroom, sleeping and entertainment requirements.

Topaz – Outstanding service and quality

We had a 50th Avida Topaz 2016 and decided to update and had no hesitation to have another Avida Topaz as always outstanding service and quality.

Birdsville – Luxurious

Our Avida Birdsville B7444SL was a very deliberate choice based on both our earlier experiences in a caravan /campervan and a great deal of research. The Birdsville meets all our needs, in particular, with a permanent island bed and separate dinette. The dry bathroom was also a must have. The motorhome is well built and nicely finished. It is comfortable- perhaps even luxurious. Lots of internal storage and adequate external storage. It is quick and easy to set up. Fridge is a good size and is not next to the bed so the whole motorhome is quiet. Easy to drive and manoeuvre. We love it! It will see us through our next decade of travelling all over Australia.

Esperance – Air-conditioning works well

Very happy with the Esperance and the way it drives. We drove it across the Nullabor in 40 to 50 degree heat and was very happy the air-conditioning worked well. The Luton peak was fabulous for shade whilst driving. No more sunburnt legs

Rock – Strong for off grid travelling

I researched for almost 18 months. With the layout and the off-road, I feel I got what I was looking for at the right price. A strong vehicle and everything required for off grid travelling. A big winner is how all the undercarriage is neat with the wires and plumbing being tucked away.

Ceduna – More room for extra guests to stay

Proud owners of a Ceduna with a club lounge in the back and a roll down bed. We previously owned a Birdsville and found with having grandchildren we have lot more room for the extra guests to stay and visit.

Esperance – Great service & customer care

I highly recommend Country Motor Company in Bomaderry (Avida dealership). They give great service and customer care.

Birdsville – Purchased sight unseen

Purchased the Birdsville sight unseen via internet. Avida’s videos were most helpful on their website. More than happy with the way it drives. It was everything I wanted and more once I got it. I had my Birdsville wrapped in Silver then had the decals in Aqua Burst on top, I have had many comments on how good it looks when I drive to caravan parks.

Topaz – 12 months research and love it

I did 12 months of research and well and truly looked at each brand. I liked several but after ticking off all the boxes the Topaz was the one left standing and I love it

We wanted a rear wheel drive and an Australian made motorhome as we want to drive off grid. We love the layout, plus the slide out makes a huge difference.

Birdsville – Just the right size

The Birdsville with the slide out is just the right size for the two of us and seems to be put together well and with a bit of care. The little things make a lot of difference ie: lighting, USB/power points next to the bed and in the kitchen.

Esperance – Many selling points

Selling points for our Esperance is the fact that Avida is a family run business that has been building since 1965. I am sold on the sandwich board walls as I have used a similar product on my farm. I love the slide out option as it creates so much room and the Iveco chassis. My wife and I swore we would never buy a motorhome and look at us now. We are planning many trips, first Tasmania and then Australia.

Esperance – Third Avida Owner

We have owned two previous Winnebago’s, an Esperance and a Free Spirit and now have upgraded to our third Avida Esperance. The Iveco chassis is really nice to drive and the overall aesthetics of the house side are lovely, a real upgrade with the lighter interior.

We are extremely happy with the our Leura . It is perfect for 2 people. The pop up bed gives plenty of living space and the bathroom area is a great size.

Topaz – Huge Bench Space

We are into freedom camping and have E-bikes. Our Topaz is wonderful for this. We love our kitchen and all the huge bench space. We are happy that we can see the TV from many angles.

The quality of the caravan build is excellent and choosing our own colours just makes it all so special. The service we have received from the dealer has been outstanding and far ahead of the other dealers we have bought from. The closeness and location for our servicing will also be really easy for us. The Birdsville has an excellent layout for a small family. We like the way the shower and toilet are separate. The cooking facilities are excellent and access to the front cab is easy. The vehicle it’s self is very easy to drive.

Esperance – Surpasses Other Models

With the Esperance B7944, AVIDA were able to provide a practical and functional layout, maximising useable space in an open plan, all while maintaining the ability to be driven on a Class C Licence. The choice of interior decor allows a modern design to be coupled with the chosen exterior. The Iveco Daily chassis provides excellent road holding and stability when parked that surpasses other models.

After looking at other RV’s we found that we liked the layout of the Birdsville exactly what we were looking for. The internal storage is more than we expected and the we loved whole experience.

Emerald – Loving our new Avida Emerald

We recently picked up our pre-owned Avida Emerald and took her on her inaugural run to the bush.  We are absolutely delighted with this little van – tows well, is extremely comfortable to sleep in and has all the necessary bells and whistles to make caravan holidaying a very pleasant experience.  Our first run was to a remote camping site at Mount Seaview Resort, west of Wauchope.  The late afternoon drive up there was easy, and we had no problems negotiating the final dirt road leading to the back of the property, and managed to get set up on our riverbank site just before dark.  No rain for ages, so thought we’d be safe enough down there beside the headwaters of the Hastings River!  In the morning the beauty of the place was revealed – crystal clear waters flowing across beautiful rocky banks, cattle grazing nearby, birds chirping, blue hills in the distance, and logs available for a comforting camp fire.  Thanks to our son for finding this place, and for sharing it with us for his birthday!

Longreach – Six Years On

Just to let you know that we are going around Australia again in our beautiful Avida Longreach.  We (Longreach and us) are getting compliments almost everyday.  People are telling us that the motorhome is beautiful and looks as new (is nearly six year old). Very often we are happy to show people inside and again we are getting very positive comments.

Would like to thank everyone at Avida for a brilliant motorhome. I love the way the upper cupboards are now flush with no handles and how the toilet is now placed to the side so when the door is open, it is not in view. It’s magic how the blue lighting is on prior to turning on the lights, it gives a nice atmosphere through the home.

Leura – Great Cross Ventilation

Our new Leura is easy to drive. We love the louver windows, they are great for cross ventilation as we do not like air-conditioning and it has a lovely bathroom.

We have been to every Avida show. We have looked at other brands but Avida was always the stand out in the crowd. We have been waiting for retirement to purchase a Birdsville and finally have one. Another plus is the vehicle is a wonderful medium for both our heights with driving as I am 6.3 and my wife is 5.3.  With looking at the Birdsville over the years we have seen it just keeps getting better and better even though we didn’t think  it was possible. It is definitely a 10/10 for us.

I had been searching for some time to find a motorhome with a great layout that wasn’t consumed with a wooden veneer finish. The Avida Esperance C7932SL has finally arrived with an interior that looks like a modern home, and better still you can customise the style and colours to suit you. The veneer that remains is now more a feature. We are absolutely delighted with the layout, design, spaciousness and features of the Esperance, it is also fully equipped with modern appliances and easy to use technology. We have also been very impressed by the amount of storage both internally and externally. The slideout at 600mm feels like over a metre of extra space. The vehicle is simple and comfy to drive and with the Iveco 3.0l turbo diesel 8 speed automatic transmission it has plenty of power. We chose motorhoming as a way to explore all corners of the country and experience the great outdoors but we did not want to leave behind the comforts of home or the conveniences of modern living. The new Avida Esperance has ticked every box for us and we now have no excuse for not getting on the road for another exciting adventure. Well done Avida.

Our Avida Emerald All Terrain is the perfect van for us. Light weight, single axle, easy to tow, but all the equipment for comfortable travel to all the regions we want to explore. The standard of manufacture and the finish seems excellent. We hope to enjoy it for years to come.

We have been reviewing opposition vans for some time and found the Avida brand is a cut above the rest. We purchased the 21′ CL 7052MT Topaz, this layout is so functional, roomy and just alround plush. I am on the larger size at 192cm and 122kg, Avida ticked all the boxes for us.

The Eyre is a sensational vehicle, perfect for our needs. It drives superbly, and after a few teething issues, meets our needs perfectly. It draws lots of attention due to its looks and features. We’re looking forward to many happy travels.

I must say the Motorhome is fantastic. The drive is excellent. Layout is exceptional we have travelled 2000km in 7days as I said to my wife , this is a shakedown trip to use all facilities we stayed privately , in camping grounds for the powered sites so we could test air conditioner and hot water cylinder. Every part worked well with ample hot water for 2 showers , We just love the slide out. And the bed is supurb ,the Iveco has ample power and excellent gear ratios. Pulls well on hills very quite. And excellent road holding. Even in crosswinds what can I say! It am proud to be an Esperance owner. All our friends who have looked over our special Motorhome are blown away of what is inside And for me I just love led lighting. Telly very special and they all like the quality of the leather upholstery. Also the cooker is great. The other bit was our factory visit at Emu Plains in July. To see the passion that goes into these motor homes. Reinforced that I had made the right choice , not to say my grandchildren have tried the above cab bed and given it the thumbs up. They are 5 and 3 years old so Future Avida campers in years to come. Well done Team, I salute you.

From day one of placing our order and right through to final handover day, The “ Care Factor “ and professionalism that was displayed left us with full trust in all that you would do and that nothing was too much to ask for you. If you could do it you would and you did. Everything we asked for was included in the completed build.

As soon as we walked into the motorhome for the first time we knew we had made the right decision, it exceeded our expectations! All of our family and friends have been equally amazed and have commented on the design, inclusions and quality, and now realise why we were prepared to wait for it to be made, rather than go to one of the dealerships where you can drive away with one on the day.

Esperance – No regrets

We purchased a Esperance new in Nov 2011 and absolutely love it. It has the slide out in the living area and what a difference it makes. June last year we also purchased a Suzuki Vitara for a tow vehicle which I also use for travelling to work. It was a huge step for us as we had not even owned a caravan but we have no regrets.

Thank You Avida

I am so happy I bought from Avida. We are currently touring FNQ (far north Queensland), in our Alpine. On a leg from Bowen to Mission Beach, we stopped in Townsville for a wee break for our 4 legged children. I did my usual walk around inspection of my rig and trailer and found a significant safety issue with the motor home and its ability to tow the trailer. I immediately contacted Avida assist. They were very helpful and thorough, asking if the vehicle needed towing etc. They gave me the address of the local Avida dealer and we slowly, at 20kph, made our way there. The fix was beyond the dealers resources in Townsville, so Leo (Manager) contacted Avida in Emu Plains. Photos were taken and within 45 minutes we were on our way with the information from Patrick (Emu Plains) that he was on the job to see if there was anyone local, who had the skills, could fix our problem. First thing the next day Patrick call me with a company who could do the job. Within 20 hours of our contacting Avida assist, and subsequently Avida, we were booked in for repairs, the very next day, Wednesday.

What can I say. Avida has ticked all the right boxes in a very thoughtful and professional manner. I will always be confident to influence people to buy from Avida, the after sales assistance is fantastic, and a credit to Avida’s customer focus and policies.

Motorhome Mechanicals

Regarding the mechanical breakdown of my motorhome in February 2011 at Wamberal NSW. I wish to extend my greatest appreciation to the Avida staff and management in their prompt assistance and feed back in getting my motorhome repaired and back on the road. This is my third Avida motorhome I have owned since 2002 and travelled many kms throughout Australia including Tasmania. Over this period I have had several mechanical and electrical problems but after contacting either Emu Plains or the local dealership service department they have fixed my request or directed me the nearest service dealer. If you could pass on my comments to all those involved in service and warranty within your organisation.

Memo of congratulations

Just a note to say how pleased we are with our Alpine. It has been such a nice comfortable motorhome to travel this beautiful country of ours. We are surprised to find it is unusual if we are not personally approached weekly by a stranger expressing admiration for this motorhome when on the road.

The Avida dealer “Country Motor” whom we purchased thru were exemplary on all quadrants of marketing and servicing and I would be surprised if you had a marketing agency exceeding the standards that they work to.

In April this year we were referred back to your factory for some warranty work and we could not have wished for more obliging and friendly service and attention from all of the Avida staff dealt with. The warranty repairs necessitated 2 nights overnight stay in the factory car park so we also had the opportunity to speak with workshop staff as they came and went and again we were impressed with the attitudes and outlooks of the folk behind the scene.

You have a winning product and the backup to go with it.

Customer appreciation for service that your staff have provided

June and I wish to express our very sincere appreciation for the service that GAVIN (spare parts) provided to us, when we needed to replace the clips on our safety net over the cabin. Guess whose fault it was that this accident happened, it was my fault completely, because I made a grab for it when I fell off the ladder while I was cleaning out the van after a recent trip. Gavin really put in a great effort for us so we were not left with a safety net in future trips.

This is not the first time that your staff have provided us with exemplary service, as your records will show. We have a son in the Navy, stationed in Sydney, and we went over to mind his house, dogs and garden while he was on his honeymoon, and the motor home was stored in the holding compound at the “Randwick military barracks” which was regarded as secure storage, but while they were on their honeymoon thieves broke into the compound and did a lot of damage to our motor home as well as the other servicemen’s property stored there while they were serving overseas.

Our motor home had to be transported up to your business on the back of a flat top tow truck, where Ken took over and he and the staff did a restoration that was top grade. When we got back to Sydney and arrived up to pick it up we were absolutely amazed at what a wonderful job had been done. We wrote to you at that time to also express our sincere appreciation. It does not surprise us that Avida is the number one in all aspects of not only building motor homes but equally in customer relations, we are not just a statistic that fades into oblivion once we pay the bill. Buying an Avida is a long term relationship.
