Avida expands its dealer network

In a remarkable show of generosity and community spirit, Avida owners have spent the financial year 2023 raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) through various events. These dedicated efforts culminated in a significant contribution to a cause that provides crucial healthcare services to remote and rural areas across Australia.

Throughout the year, Avida owners participated in multiple fundraising events, rallying together to support the RFDS. Recognising the importance of this initiative, Avida proudly matched every dollar raised, effectively doubling the impact of the owners’ contributions. Together, the Avida community and the company donated a total of $8,674.00 to the RFDS.

“We are incredibly proud of the commitment shown by our Avida owners throughout the financial year,” said an Avida spokesperson. “Their enthusiasm and dedication to supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service exemplify the values we cherish as a company. Matching their contributions dollar for dollar was a natural choice, knowing the vital role these funds will play in sustaining the RFDS’s life-saving work.”

The Royal Flying Doctor Service relies heavily on donations to operate, and this combined financial year contribution from Avida and its owners will go a long way in ensuring that essential medical care reaches those in the most remote parts of Australia.

This successful fundraising effort not only highlights the strong sense of community within the Avida family but also reinforces the importance of supporting organizations like the RFDS. Avida and its owners are proud to have made a meaningful contribution during FY 2023, helping to ensure that all Australians, regardless of location, have access to quality healthcare.

About Avida

Avida is a family owned business that commenced manufacturing in Australia in 1965, with the formation of Freeway Camper Company.

From 1978 to 2013 Avida manufactured motorhomes, campervans & caravans under the name of Winnebago Industries, where we were famous for Winnebago motorhomes like Leisure Seeker, Birdsville and Esperance.

Today, Avida still remains in the hands of the original family, where we employ and support hundreds of Australians at our huge 10 acre site in Western Sydney NSW.

Not only do we continue the tradition of the Avida Birdsville and Esperance, we have also expanded our range of motorhomes and caravans.
